DE PERE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's tennis team dropped a narrow 5-4 decision at St. Norbert on Sunday.
Steven Benoy (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) and
Diego Mosquera Herrero (Madrid, Spain) continued to put up big performances with a dominant 8-2 win at No. 1 doubles.
Benoy won at No. 1 singles, 6-2, 2-1, with his opponent retiring in the second set. Mosquera Herrero earned the win at No. 2 singles by a 6-2, 6-4 score.
Hayden Schreier (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) rolled to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 3 singles.

Connor Paullin (East Troy, Wis./East Troy) nearly clinched the win at No. 2 doubles. The duo battled to a tiebreak before coming up just short, 8-7 (7-5).
Paullin won seven games at No. 4 singles in a defeat.
Dan Harris (Eau Claire, Wis./Altoona) dropped a tight 7-6 (7-4) tiebreak in the first set at No. 5 singles. Harris and
Austin Kahl (Janesville, Wis./Craig) won four games at No. 3 doubles.
The Pointers face Wisconsin Lutheran at 12:00 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 10) in Jackson, Wis.
