UWSP Baseball Unveils 2024 Season Schedule

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point head baseball coach Nat Richter has released his team's 2024 season schedule. The Pointers will play 15 home games at Zimmermann Field in 2024.

The Pointers begin the 2024 slate in Louisville, Ky., with a trio of games hosted by Spalding University. The opener sees UWSP face North Central before playing host Spalding on March 2. Opening weekend concludes with a matchup against Denison the next day.
 
UWSP will then travel to Davenport., Fla., for seven games at the RussMatt Invitational during Spring Break with games between March 17 and 23. Opponents and game times will be announced at a later date.
 
The season-opening road swing concludes on March 29 with a twin bill at Marian.
 
The home opener is also the conference opener as UWSP hosts UW-Eau Claire for a four-game home weekend on April 6 and 7 with 12:00 p.m. doubleheaders both days.
 
UWSP will then head back on the road for the next eight, all conference games. The Pointers play UW-Oshkosh on April 10 and again on April 17 with two games each day beginning at 12:00 p.m. In between, the Pointers travel to Menomonie for a four-game series against UW-Stout.
 
An 11-game homestand follows beginning with four games against UW-Platteville on April 20 and 21. The Pointers' first home non-conference game is against Lawrence on April 23. The final home conference series sees UW-La Crosse visit on April 27 and 28. The home stand concludes with single non-conference games against Ripon (April 30) and St. Norbert (May 1), both at 3:00 p.m.
 
The regular season wraps up with a series at UW-Whitewater on May 3 and 4. The WIAC Tournament follows from May 9 to May 11 with the regular season champion as host.
 
The Pointers went 33-14 last season and reached the decisive game of the Super Regionals after claiming the 11th regular season title in program history. UWSP returns eight members of last year's All-WIAC team, including Jakob Boos (Littleton, Colo./Heritage), Bradley Comer (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander), Sidney Ferry (Paw Paw, Mich./Homeschooled), Nick Paulse, Casey Pickering (Naperville, Ill./Neuqua Valley), JD Schultz (Stevens Point, Wis./SPASH), Anthony Tomczak (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and Mason Weckler (Belvidere, Ill./North). Comer was an All-America selection while Paulsen and Schultz earned all-region nods last season.
