STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point softball coach Ryan Konitzer recently announced the addition of Brittany Baneck to his staff as an assistant coach. She replaces Megan Aliverti, who took a position at DII Drury last month.

"I am very excited to be a part of the UWSP softball team and looking forward to seeing where this program will go," said Baneck. "I cannot thank Ryan enough for giving me an opportunity to start my collegiate coaching career."

Baneck comes to UWSP from Green Bay. There, she had been a coach for the Impact Sports Academy since 2017, including head coach of the U10 softball team in 2020 and 2021. She also spent the summer of 2023 playing in Sweden and as a youth instructor while there.

As a player, Baneck was a pitcher at UW-Green Bay for five seasons. In 2023, she was the conference pitcher of the week in consecutive weeks. She was a second-team all-conference selection in 2022. Baneck was an all-academic team pick in 2023.

Baneck earned her bachelor's degree in elementary education from UWGB in 2022. She also holds a coaching certificate and a master's certificate in applied leadership.
