UWSP Volleyball Headed to Michigan for NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 23 UW-Stevens Point volleyball team heard its name on Monday's NCAA Selection Show as an at-large bid and will head to Michigan for the regional round hosted by Hope College.
 
The Pointers opening round match will be against Case Western Reserve on Thursday (Nov. 16) in Holland, Mich., at 4:30 p.m. ET.
 
UWSP went 22-10 this season including nine matches against opponents that also made this year's NCAA Tournament.
 
The Pointers are led by Ashley Kopp (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) and Grace Michalske (Wausau, Wis./West), both All-WIAC first-team selections last week. Kopp is third in the country with 551 kills this season. She is second in the nation with 623 points and fourth in total attacks (1,356).
 
Michalske is seventh in the country with 1,106 assists. She also led the conference with 68 service aces, 21st in the country.
 
CWRU (22-8) also reached the NCAA Tournament via an at-large bid. The Spartans reached the UAA semifinals. The trio of Jennifer Ngo (317), Rea Marfatia (288) and Kalli Wall (225) lead the CWRU offense.
 
The regional also features host Hope College, Bethany (W.V.), Transylvania (Ky.), Mount Union (Ohio), Carnegie Mellon (Pa.) and Pacific Lutheran (Wash).
