LEXINGTON, Ky. – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award, sponsored by INTENT, for the sixth-consecutive season. It is also the 10th time in the last 12 years that UWSP has won the award.

UWSP was one of eight WIAC teams and one of 1,450 collegiate and high school volleyball teams honors.
 
The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.
 
In 2024, the Pointers were 20-12 and reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament. It was the fifth-straight and eighth time in 11 years that UWSP appeared in the NCAA Tournament.
 
The 2025 season begins on August 29 against MSOE at the Pikes Peak Challenge hosted by Colorado College.
