LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team came up just short in a pair of duals to wrap up the NWCA Multi-National Duals on Saturday. UWSP began the day with a 23-20 loss to Lock Haven before falling to Emmanual by a 25-23 score.
Results
Rose Ann Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) went 2-0 on the day at 116. She started the day with a 10-0 tech fall win against Lock Haven. She then pinned her opponent at 3:50 against EC.
Jade Herzer (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) earned two wins on the day as well. Her first came by forfeit versus LHU. Then she won a 12-1 tech fall versus EC.
Against Lock Haven,
Kelly Enriquez (Waukesha, Wis./South) and
Taylor Schulz (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) were winners by forfeit at 101 and 170.
Amor Tuttle (North St. Paul, Minn./Stillwater Area Senior) picked up a point at 130.
In the dual versus Emmanual,
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) and
Abby Nelson (Iron River, Wis./Northwestern) earned wins by fall at 109 and 123, respectively. Tuttle won a 6-4 decision and
Anna Strand () earned a point at 143.
UWSP will be in action next on January 19 in a home dual against Carthage. The event is slated to begin at 6:00 p.m.
