PLATTEVILLE, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field teams both finished third at the WIAC Tri on Saturday. The men scored 55 points and the women 46.

UWSP's men's 4x400-meter relay team of
Mason Mead (Wausau, Wis./West),
Noah Rosas (Franklin, Wis./Franklin),
Braedon Gilles (Middleton, Wis./Middleton) and
Aiden Leist (Hortonville, WIs./Hortonville) were victorious with a time of 3:30.31.
Joshua Jumbeck (Galesville, Wis./Galesville-Ettrick-Trempealeau) placed second in the mile run with a time of 4:21.60, less than a second behind the winner.
Casey Ploederl (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) took second in the high jump with a height of 2.00 meters (6' 6.75").
For the women,
Natasha Hess (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) won the 800-meter run with a time of 2:55.26.
Anetha Vogele (Necedah, Wis./Necedah) finished second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 27.16, a mere 0.14 seconds off the top time.
Vogele ran the final leg of the 4x400-meter relay with
Maddy Boehnlein (/Mount Calvary, Wis.),
Mackenzie Johnson (Cumberland, Wis./Cumberland) and
Shelby Klobucar (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) that places second at 4:11.85.
Brooke Wellhausen (Williams Bay, Wis./Big Foot) placed second in the mile run with a time of 5:14.15.
Madeline Zirbel (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) cleared the high jump bar at a height of 1.55 meters (5' 1.00"), good for second place.
The Pointers travel to Whitewater for a weekend meet hosted by UW-Whitewater beginning on Friday (Jan. 27) at 1:00 p.m.
