NAPERVILLE, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team placed seventh among the 19 teams competing as Sunday's North Central College Invite.
Results
Tabitha Breitrick (Clintonville, Wis./Clintonville) took second place in the 170 bracket. She won each of her first three matches by fall to reach the finals.
Amor Tuttle (North St. Paul, Minn./Stillwater Area Senior) won two matches in the 130 bracket. She won a 12-6 decision in her first match of the day. Then in the consolation bracket, she earned a win by fall.
In the 155 bracket,
Jade Herzer (Wisconsin Dells, Wis./Wisconsin Dells) and
Claire Matthews (Clarksville, Tenn./Clarksville) each had two wins, both by fall.
At 109,
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) earned a pair of wins, both 10-0 tech falls. One came in her opening match and the other in the consolation bracket.
Morgan Bethea (Neillsville, Wis./Neillsville) earned two wins in the 116 bracket. She opened the day with a 10-2 decision win. Then she won by fall in the consolation bracket.
Angelica Torres Lima (Des Plaines, Ill./Maine East) also earned a decision win, 8-0, in the bracket.
In the 123 bracket,
Rose Ann Marshall (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) won twice in the consolation bracket. She earned a win by fall and took a 10-0 tech fall.
Olivia Hollenbeck (Tacoma, Wash./Bethel) won by fall in the consolation bracket as well.
Addison Young (New London, Wis./New London) pinned her opponent in the consolation bracket at 136.
Kelly Enriquez (Waukesha, Wis./South) earned a tech fall win in the consolation bracket at 101.
The Pointers return to action on January 6 in Louisville, Ky., for the NWCA Multi-National Duals.
