OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point track and field team and members of the UW-Oshkosh team battled in throws events and the high jump on Thursday.
 
Results
 
Sylviann Momont (Auburndale, Wis./Auburndale) edged teammate Briana Simonis (Rosholt, Wis./Rosholt) to win the high jump.  She cleared a height of 1.69 meters (5' 6.5").
 
Larkin Hoepner (Eau Claire, Wis./North) won the hammer throw with a distance of 51.53 meters (169' 1"),
 
Alex Poncelet (Hastings, Minn./Hastings) gave the Pointers a sweep in the hammer throw when he took top honors with a mark of 57.28 meters (187' 11").
 
Nick Chesterman (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) took first in the javelin throw with a distance of 49.95 meters (163' 10").
 
The Pointers will send athletes to compete at the UW-Platteville Border Battle on Friday (April 30). Events begin at 1:00 p.m.
