Anna Pilecky (DeForest, Wis./DeForest) has collected Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Women's Swimmer of the Year laurels, the conference office announced on Friday (March 19) as part of the league's women's swimming and diving awards. UWSP junior

Pilecky completed dominated the 1000- and 500-yard freestyle events during the 2020-21 season. She won the 1000-yard freestyle event against UW-Oshkosh, UW-Whitewater and UW-La Crosse by an average margin of more than 36 seconds in the trio of victories. In the season finale, she set the UWSP Aquatics Center pool record for the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:31.98 against UW-Eau Claire.
Pilecky won the 500-yard freestyle event in all four meets during the season. Her time was more than 14 seconds faster than the runner-up in all four competitions. In the season finale versus UWEC, her time of 5:04.08 set the UWSP Aquatics Center record. She also set the pool record in the 1650-yard freestyle against UWEC with a time of 17:27.18.
Dammen competed in all four meets for the Pointers in 2020-21. She helped the 200-yard medley relay to a second-place finish at UW-Oshkosh to open the season. She also recorded third-place finishes in the 100-yard butterfly at UWO and the 200-yard butterfly versus UW-La Crosse. She swam in at least three events at all four competitions.
No team scores were kept at any of the four meets during the 2020-21 season for the UWSP women's swimming and diving team.
