STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point track and field's
Sylviann Momont (Auburndale, Wis./Auburndale) took second in the pentathlon as the Pointers hosted the first day of the WIAC Multis on Wednesday.
Results
Momont scored 3,584 points to earn a second-place in the pentathlon. Momont won the 60-meter hurdles with a tie of 8.92 and the high jump by clearing 1.66 meters (5' 5.25"). She took second in the shot put with a distance of 11.64 meters (38' 2.25") and third in the long jump with a distance of 5.42 meters (17' 9.5").
On the men's side,
Nick Chesterman (Sun Prairie, Wis./Lakeside Lutheran) is fourth after four events of the heptathlon. He scored 765 points to trail by 31 heading into Thursday's action. He placed fourth in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.34 and in the long jump with a distance of 6.58 meters (21' 7.25").
Day two of the WIAC Multis is Thursday (Feb. 25) at the Multi-Activity Center. Action begins at 4:30 p.m. and will include the remaining heptathlon events and a men's and women's 5000-meter run.
