PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team competed at Lakeland on Sunday in the first outside competition of the 2020-21 season.
 
Freshman Hannah Ramos (Kenosha, Wis./Bradford) earned a win by fall in her first collegiate competition.  She pinned her opponent in the first period.
 
Senior Brooke Thurber (Nekoosa, Wis./Nekoosa) won the first match of the day with a tech fall, 10-0, in a time of 2:07.
 
Sophomore Megan Struble (Seymour, Wis./Seymour Community) also earned a victory for the with a pin at 3:43 in the final match of the day.
 
Lakeland fielded just three competitors with the Pointers putting seven wrestlers on the mat.
 
UWSP will next compete at North Central on Jan. 31.
