WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's track and field team earned three second-place finishes and Mike Ayensu-Mensah (Appleton, Wis./North) earned his first career event victory at the "Squig" Converse Invite on Friday.
 
Results
 
Ayensu-Mensah won the high jump with a leap of 6-07.00 (2.01 meters), clearing the bar on his first attempt at that height.
 
Jared Schrang (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) took second in the 60-meter hurdles in a time of 8.35 seconds.  Golden Cotton (Milwaukee, Wis./Greenfield) placed second in the 60-meter dash qualifier with a run of 7.14 seconds, 0.02 seconds off the event winner.
 
UWSP's relay squad of Matt Cieslak (Wilmot, Wis./Wilmot), Evan Torgerson (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest), Calden Wojt (Marshfield, Wis./Marshfield) and Sam Welch (Manawa, Wis./Manawa) earned a runner-up placing with a time of 3:26.09.
 
UWSP's women will compete in Whitewater on Saturday for the Women's Invite beginning at 12:00 p.m.
