STEVENS POINT, Wis. – A short-handed UW-Stevens Point women's soccer team (6-2-2) conceded two second-half goals in a 2-0 loss to Illinois Wesleyan (5-4-0) on Saturday.  The defeat was UWSP's first at home this season.

Freshman goalkeeper
Miranda Nieman (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis./Lincoln) made six saves for the Pointers, but took her first loss as UWSP's keeper.

The Titans broke a scoreless tie in the 67th minute.  Two minutes later, the Pointers' deficit doubled to 2-0.

IWU took advantage of UWSP's shorthandedness with pressure.  The Pointers were without two defenders and played with six freshmen a majority of the match.

The Pointers remain at home on Sunday (Sept. 22) with a 2:00 p.m. match against Loras.
