WIAC Defensive Player of the Week (Week of 9/16-9/22/2019)

2021: Played in and started 16 matches…Posted a 1.96 goals against average in 1374:55 minutes…Had a 7-8-0 record with four shutouts…Made a season-high 11 saves in the season opener at Wartburg (Sept. 1)…Earned back-to-back wins at home against Hamline (Sept. 5) and Coe (Sept. 11) with a two-save shutout of the Kohawks…Went 4-0-0 in a stretch of league games with shutouts of UW-Whitewater (Oct. 9), UW-River Falls (Oct. 16) and UW-Eau Claire (Oct. 20) ahead of a 2-1 home win over UW-Platteville (Oct. 23)…Made six saves in a WIAC Tournament victory over UW-Stout (Nov. 2).

2019:  Started all 14 matches she appeared in seeing a total of 1267:29 between the pipes…Held a 9-3-2 record with five shutouts…Made 38 saves with a 0.85 goals against average…Needed just two saves to shut out Marian in first career start (Sept. 1)…Held a clean sheet with three saves at Nebraska Wesleyan (Sept. 13)…Made a season-high eight saves in a shutout win over Dubuque (Sept. 22) to improve to 6-0-2…Racked up wins against league foes UW-Stout (Oct. 5), UW-River Falls (Oct. 12) and UW-Oshkosh (Oct. 23) with two shutouts and just two shots faced over the three tilts.

High School: Earned four varsity letters…Earned all-conference second team as a defender her sophomore year…Earned first-team all-conference as a goalkeeper her junior and senior years…Received high honors and an athletic scholar award three years…Recorded 23 saves against Appleton East her junior year.

Personal: Pre-athletic training major…Parents Lori and Todd Nieman…Siblings Colton, Makenna and Cierra Nieman…Volunteered her time with the Sports Letter Winners Club by helping out with concessions and doing fundraisers to raise money for other athletic programs.
