WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The UW-Stevens Point wrestling team finished second in the 16-team Budd Whitehill Duals on Saturday in Pennsylvania.  The Pointers knocked off No. 13 York College of Pennsylvania, 25-17, in the semifinals.  In the championship dual, No. 17 The College of New Jeresy got past UWSP, 37-10.
 
Jerry Lipke (Milton, Wis./Milton) earned two victories on Saturday with a fall at 6:07 against York, a pivotal victory for the Pointers in the semifinal win.  He capped the day with a 10-0 major decision versus TCNJ.
 
Ben Vosters (Hatley, Wis./Wittenberg-Birnamwood) completed a perfect weekend in Pennsylvania with two more wins on Saturday.  He picked up an 11-8 decision victory against York and finished with a 7-4 decision win versus TCNJ.
 
Luke Smiley (Plainfield, Ill./North) also wrapped up a 5-0 weekend with a pair of wins on Saturday.  He won by tech fall, 18-3, in the semis and earned an 8-6 decision win in the finals.  Smiley was named to the all-tournament team after his performance over the five duals.
 
Matt Berlin (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek), Jordan Weinzetl (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) and Steven Anderson (Appleton, Wis./East) earned victories against York.
 
The Pointers return home to face UW-Parkside on Thursday (Jan. 17). The dual begins at 7:00 p.m. in Berg Gym.
