STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point athletic department announced today (Aug. 7) the inductees for the 2018 Athletics Hall of Fame. This year's inductees are: Doug Coe (baseball), Jared Jenkins (football), Kari (Moldrem) Rowekamp (softball), Amy (Truckey) Statz (women's hockey), Jessica Urban (women's golf) and
Rick Witt (cross country/track and field).
The 2018 Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be held on Friday, October, 19 at 6:30 p.m. in the Laird Room of the Dreyfus University Center. The inductees will also be recognized at halftime of the Homecoming football game against UW-Stout on Oct. 20 at 1:00 p.m.

Doug Coe, (2006-2008, baseball)
Doug Coe was a Pointer from 2006 to 2008 and helped the team to a fifth-place finish in the 2006 College World Series, third place in 2007 and the NCAA Regionals in 2008. In 2008, he was selected as WIAC Position Player of the Year, First-Team All-Region, Second-Team D3Baseball.com All-American and First-Team ABCA All-American. Coe holds the program record for most games played in a single-season (53) and career slugging percentage (.703). He ranks third in batting average (.392) and fourth in single-season home runs (15). Coe graduated from UWSP with a degree in elementary education and a coaching certificate in December of 2009. He went on to complete a master's degree in athletic administration from Ohio University.
Jared Jenkins, (2007-2010, football)
A two-sport athlete for the Pointers from 2007 to 2010, Jenkins excelled in both football and basketball. Twice he was named an All-American punter and three times an All-WIAC selection. As a punter, he holds punting records for game, season, and career averages. Since 2010, Jenkins has held the best punting average in the WIAC (45.0 yards). A dual-threat on the field, Jenkins also played wide receiver, ranking first for most touchdowns catches in a game (4) and receiving yards in a career (3,632). He is second for most receptions in a career (273) and touchdown passes caught in a career (34). In addition to football, Jared was a member of the 2010 National Championship basketball team and was named to the Final Four All-Tournament team. After graduating in 2010, Jenkins was signed in 2011 as an undrafted free agent by the Detroit Lions and later signed with the St. Louis Rams.
Kari Rowekamp Moldrem, (1995-1998, softball)
In a four-year career at UW-Stevens Point, Rowekamp was a key part of the first Pointers team to win a softball national championship in 1998. She ranks first all-time in program history in games played in a season (57), most RBI in a season (57) and career triples (13). Rowekamp was twice named First-Team All-WIAC, was a 1997 TPS Second-Team All-Region Utility Player selection and was MVP of the 1996 NCAA Midwest Regional Tournament. A versatile utility player, Rowekamp started games at shortstop, first base, second base and left field. Her teammates voted her the UWSP Hitting Award in 1996 and 1997. After graduating in December of 1999 with a degree in physical education, she has worked for seven years in the Cadott Community School District.
Amy Statz Truckey, (2003-2007, women's hockey)
Amy Statz was a Pointer from 2003 to 2007 and finished her senior season leading the WIAC in career wins with 68, a record which held for 10 years. Statz still holds the titles of career shutouts (20), wins in a season (20) and is second in saves (1811). During her UWSP career, she was a part of two NCHA regular season titles, four NCHA playoff titles, a runner up and two third-place finishes in the NCAA Tournament. In addition to her achievements on the ice, Statz was an excellent student in the classroom, three times named to the NCHA All-Academic team. She was also the 2007 NCHA Scholar Athlete and a Third-Team Academic All-American. Statz earned a bachelor's degree in athletic training and went on to get a master's degree in physician assistant studies from the Baylor College of Medicine.
Jessica Urban, (2006-2010, women's golf)
A two-time All-American, Jessica Urban is the most decorated golfer in UW-Stevens Point history. She was named First-Team All-WIAC four times, WIAC Player of the Year twice and an All-Regional Central team selection all four years. She qualified for the NCAA Individual Tournament four times and once with her team. In 2009, Urban earned individual and team runner-up finishes before she became the 2010 NCAA Division III Individual National Champion. Urban received 2009 NCAA Division III Player of the Year honors, PING NGCA Division III Player of the Year honors and was a two-time First-Team All-American. She was also named to the WIAC All-Time team. Urban earned a bachelor of science degree from UWSP.
Rick Witt, (1977-2014, cross country/track & field coach)
Rick Witt coached the Pointers from 1977 to 2014 and produced 25 NCAA Individual National Champions and 245 NCAA All-Americans in cross country, and indoor and outdoor track and field. He is a six-time WIAC Coach of the Year, an eight-time WSUC Coach of the Year, a nine-time NCAA Track and Field/Cross Country Association Regional Coach of the Year and was named the 1996 NCAA National Cross Country Coach of the Year. During his 37-year stint as head coach of cross country and indoor and outdoor track and field, his teams finished Top 4 in the NCAA 11 times and had 22 Top 10 NCAA finishes. Some notable athletes he coached include: Dan Sullivan, 2013 USTFCCCA Indoor National Athlete of the Year; Chad Johnson, a 3-time Olympic Trials participant; and his son,
Brett Witt, current head coach of the Pointers and an eight-time NCAA All-American.
