STEVENS POINT, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point Athletics and the Stevens Point Brewery have joined forces to launch a branded local beer, Pointers All-American, that will be available at select UWSP athletics events beginning in September. A portion of the proceeds of all Pointers All-American Beer will support UWSP Athletics.

Stevens Point Brewery, a longtime partner of UWSP Athletics, has already begun production of the branded beer. The Pointers All-American Beer will begin arriving at local retailers the week of August 25. Fans can also buy the beer at UWSP football home games beginning Sept. 6 and UWSP volleyball matches beginning on Sept. 19.

Pointers All-American Beer is a smooth, refreshing light beer brewed with two-row malted barley, a select blend of hops and a lot of passion for UWSP. It will be sold in 4-pack and single-serve 16-ounce cans with a 3.8% ABV. The can design features purple and gold colors, official "Pointer Dog," and Pointer's logos.
 
Stevens Point Brewery is using Earthrings to package the Pointers All-American Beer. These 100% recyclable and compostable beverage rings were selected specifically with UWSP's sustainability initiatives in mind.
