STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point swimming and diving team has six men headed to the NCAA Championships this week in Indianapolis, Ind. Seniors
Jack Englehardt (Madison, Wis./West),
Sam Jekel (Fitchburg, Wis./Madison West) and
Brandon Richardson (Minneapolis, Minn./St. Michael Academy) along with
Jacob Aegerter (Cross Plains, Wis.),
Reilly Donnellan (Neenah, Wis./Neenah) and
Grant Moser (St. Michael, Minn.) will compete in 11 different events in pursuit of a national championship.

Four of UWSP's five WIAC record-setting relays will head to nationals. The 200-yard medley relay team of Donnellan, Englehardt, Jekel and Richardson will compete on Wednesday. The quartet will swim the 200-yard freestyle relay on Thursday with Donnellan, Englehardt, Jekel and Moser set for the 400-yard medley relay also the same day. Aegerter, Englehardt, Jekel and Moser will compete in the 400-yard freestyle relay on Saturday. The 200-free, the 200-medley and the 400-free all earned All-American honors in 2017 for UWSP.
Jekel will compete three other individual events over the four days in Indy. He will look to repeat as an All-American in the 100-yard butterfly on Thursday. He will also swim the 100-yard backstroke on Friday and the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday.
Englehardt will compete in the 50-yard freestyle on Wednesday, an event he earned All-American honors in at the 2017 championships. He will also swim the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday.
Aegerter also looks to repeat as an All-American in the 200-yard butterfly when he takes to the pool in the event on Friday. He will also swim the 200-yard IM on Wednesday.
Donnellan will compete in a trio of individual events. On Wednesday, he will compete in the 50-yard freestyle. He will swim the 100-yard breaststroke on Friday and conclude with the 100-yard freestyle on Saturday.
The six men headed to the NCAA Championships helped the UWSP swim team capture its 19th-consecutive WIAC men's title in February.
