WHEATON, Ill.—The UW-Stevens Point men's and women's swimming teams competed in the final day of the Wheaton Invitational, where the men finished second with a score of 796 and the women finished fourth with a score of 544.
Day Two Results
The men were led by
Camden Barwick (Weston, Wis./D.C. Everest),
Wyatt Gross (Geneva, Ill./Geneva Community),
Scott Jenn (Madison, Wis./Memorial) and
Tyler Tuttle (Suamico, Wis./Bay Port).
Barwick took third in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 21.05.
Gross won the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:04.19.
Jenn placed second in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.92. He also took fifth place in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 51.62.
Tuttle swam to a third-place finish in the 400-yard IM with a time of 4:16.25.
The 400-yard medley relay team of Barwick,
Matthew Loy (Mazomanie, Wis./Wisconsin Heights),
Shawn Denis (Rhinelander, Wis./Rhinelander) and
David Anderson (Madison, Wis./West) placed third with a time of 3:07.26.
The women were led by
Hollyn Ambre (Batavia, Ill./Batavia) and the 400-yard medley relay team of
Anna Scheglowski (Northfield, Minn./Northfield),
Olivia Seward (Elk River, Minn./Elk River),
Katie Shaw (Madison, Wis./West) and Ambre.
Ambre swam to a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.53.
The 400-yard medley relay team took fourth with a time of 3:38.59.
The Pointers are back in action on January 16, hosting UW-Oshkosh beginning at 5:00 p.m.
