STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point wrestling team wrestled from behind all night and came up short in a 24-16 dual loss to UW-Oshkosh on Tuesday.
 
Mat Berlin opened the scoring for UWSP at 133. He got on the board early and rolled to a 12-4 major decision.
 
Luke Smiley (Plainfield, Ill./North) continued his dominance at 157. He pinned his opponent in 1:38 to improve to 8-1 on the season.
 
At 174, James Borgen (Amherst, Wis./Amherst) earned a 10-7 decision win to keep UWSP close.  Steven Anderson (Appleton, Wis./East) closed out the scored for the Pointers at 285 with a 6-4 decision.
 
The Pointers head to Iowa on Dec. 1 to take part in the Luther Duals. Action begins at 12:00 p.m. in Decorah.
