WHEATON, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point wrestling team placed eighth out of 35 teams at the Pete Willson Wheaton Invitational.
Dan Squires (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) earned the Jack Schwartz Award for Most Falls in Least Time with five falls in 12:56.

Team Standings
Squires earned a third-place finish at 184 with two wins on Saturday. He opened the day with a 6-2 decision win. Then in the third-place match, he pinned Isaac Odell of Wheaton at the 4:16 mark.
Matt Berlin (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) took home fourth in the 133 bracket. He picked up a 3-1 decision win in his first match on Saturday and followed that with a 3-1 victory. In the third-place match, he dropped an 8-4 decision.
Ben Vosters (Hatley, Wis./Wittenberg-Birnamwood) placed seventh in the 125 bracket. He dropped a tight 8-7 decision to UW-La Crosse's Zach Villarreal.
The Pointers return home to face UW-La Crosse in a conference dual on Friday (Feb. 2) at Berg Gym. Action is set to begin at 7:00 p.m.
