WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The UW-Stevens Point wrestling closed out the weekend in Pennsylvania with a 42-9 win over Williams College.  In the morning session, the Pointers fell to Wesleyan by a 20-17 score.
 
In the opening dual, Matt Berlin (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) got UWSP on the board with a 4-3 decision at 133, the first of two wins on the day.  David Granatelli (Appleton, Wis./North) also earned his first victory of the day in overtime, 11-9.
 
Jordan Weinzetl (Kimberly, Wis./Kimberly) shut out his opponent with a 15-0 tech fall at 165.  Dan Squires (Muskego, Wis./Wisconsin Lutheran) got the Pointers lone fall of the opening dual, pinning his foe with just 8 second left in the match.
 
Ben Vosters (Hatley, Wis./Wittenberg-Birnamwood) and Berlin began the duals with the Ephs with decision wins.  Joe Crook (Spring Green, Wis./River Valley) pinned his opponent just 34 second in to begin a stretch of seven-straight wins by UWSP.
 
Granatelli, James Borgen (Amherst, Wis./Amherst), Dylan Diebitz (West Allis, Wis./West Allis) and Ross Agg (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek) all won by fall against Williams.  Weinzetl and Squires won by decision as UWSP ended the weekend on a high note.
 
The Pointers return to the mat in two weeks in Wheaton, Ill., for the Pete Willson Invitational on Jan. 26-27.
