OSHKOSH, Wis. - The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team fielded just four participants at the UW-Oshkosh Invite in the first fall event.  After play was postponed due to weather on Saturday, the field completed day one action and played the entire second round on Sunday.  As a team, UWSP finished 11th, junior Jackie Halverson (West Bend, Wis./West Bend West) and sophomore Maddison WIlliams tied for 45th.

Top UWSP individual:  Halverson and Williams tied for 45th with a two-round score of 195.
Notables:  Sophomore Bailey Ryan (De Pere, Wis./) dropped 10 strokes off her first round score in round two.
              
Tournament Highlights
Top Team:  UW-Stout won the event by nine strokes over host UW-Oshkosh.
Top Individual:  Hannah Braun of UW-Oshkosh shot an even par 73 in round two and won the event by five strokes.
 
Up next: The Pointers return to the course on Sept. 16 for the two-day Marian Invite in Fond du Lac.
