OSHKOSH, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's indoor track & field team collected 98 team points to finish runner-up at the 2016 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Indoor Championship (presented by Culvers).

Day One RecapThe second place finish for the Pointers is the highest since a runner-up finish in 2009. UW-La Cross finished first, their 16th straight league title.
Jerry Williams (Watertown, WI/Watertown), who collected an individual conference title in the long jump on day one, added another title to his resume, this time in the triple jump with a distance of 14.88 meters (48' 10").
Williams also posted a sixth place finish in the 60-meter dash.
Neil Pedersen (Clarendon Hills, IL/Hinsdale Central), fresh off a conference title in the mile run on day one, posted a fifth place finish in the 3,000-meter run on day two, finishing in a time of 8:29.54. Pedersen was also UWSP's representative on the All-Sportsmanship Team.
Darin Ward (Fond du Lac, WI/St. Mary's Springs) posted the top time in the 60-meter hurdles in day one's prelims and finished runner-up in the finals, finishing in a time of 8.20 seconds.
Alec Dix (WIld Rose, WI/Wild Rose) finished sixth in the high hump, clearing 1.92 meters (6' 3.5")
Josh Jones (Downers Grove, IL/South) finished sixth in the triple jump with a distance of 13.60 meters (44' 7.5")
Logan Heil (Weston, WI/DC Everest) finished sixth in the weight throw with a toss of 16.52 meters (54' 2.5")
Jeremy Lee (Viroqua, WI/Viroqua) finished runner-up and
Albert Unruh (Marshall, WI/Marshall) finished second and sixth, respectively, in the heptathlon, with scores of 4764 and 4385. Lee won the pole vault clearing 4.45 meters (14' 7.25") and was runner-up in the 1,000 meter run (2:49.42) and long jump (6.54 meters | 21' 5.5").
