DELAVAN, Wis. – Shania Steen (Osseo, WI/Osseo-Fairchild) shot a two-day 176 (+30) as the UW-Stevens Point women's golf team tied for seventh at the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling on Friday and Saturday at Delbrook Golf Course.

Steen fired an 85 (+12) in the opening round before shooting a second-round 91 (+18) to finish tied for 22nd individually. Anna Buna (Madison, WI/Madison West) finished 35th with a two-day score of 184 (+38), while Amy Brennan shot 225 (+79) to round out UW-Stevens Point's three scores.
 
The Pointers had three scorers due to a withdrawal and the trio combined to shoot 585 (+147), which was tied for seventh at the 13-team meet. Lewis won the team event with a team score of 624 (+40), led by individual champion Rachel Sweeney's even par 146.
 
UW-Stevens Point will play at the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Spring Invite at Wild Ridge Golf Course on Friday and Saturday, May 2-3.
