Boak ties for second to lead Pointers at Mad Dawg Invite

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – Tiffany Boak (Woodridge, IL/Downers Grove South ) finished in a tie for second and the UW-Stevens Point women's golf team tied for eighth in the 14-team Mad Dawg Invite on Saturday and Sunday at Stevens Point Country Club.

Results

Boak shot a second-round 77 as part of a two-round score of 161 (+15) and finished just one shot behind individual medalist Brit McNett-Emmerich of UW-Stout. The 77 tied for the low-round of the tournament and was a career-low for Boak.

Anna Buna (Madison, WI/Madison West) was tied for 23rd after shooting 84 on Sunday to finish with a 175 (+29). Shania Steen (Osseo, WI/Osseo-Fairchild) was in the low 90's in both rounds to tie for 40th.

As a team, UW-Stevens Point tied with Fontbonne for eighth in the 14-team field with a score of 725 (+141), which was the lowest two-round score for the team this season. UW-Stout won the team title with a score of 651 (+67).

The Pointers compete at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships at Lake Arrowhead Golf Course in Wisconsin Rapids on Oct. 3-5.
