WHITEWATER, Wis. - Samantha Haas (Waupun, WI/Waupun), Audra Weis (Burlington, WI/Burlington) and Shannon Burke (Sussex, WI/Hamilton) finished 1-2-3 in the pole vault for the UW-Stevens Point women's outdoor track and field team at the UW-Whitewater Drake Alternative on Saturday afternoon.

Results

Haas won the individual event title in the pole vault by clearing 3.57 meters. Weis and Burke each cleared 3.42 meters on their way to second and third-place finishes.

After winning the high jump at the Phil Esten Challenge last week, Stormy Gerndt (Mountain, WI/Suring) took second in the event with a jump of 1.58 meters.

Brittany Richard (Garden, MI/Big Bay De Noc) took third in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 43:14.66, while Chelsea Reierson also claimed a third-place finish in the long jump (4.94m).

UW-Stevens Point also had a pair of third-place individual performances in field events, as Kadie Flynn (Appleton, WI/North) took third in the discus throw (42.36m) and Andrea Ball (North Fond du, Lac, WI/Horace Mann) was third in the javelin throw (30.85m).

The Pointers will compete at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships on May 2-3 in Oshkosh.
