Ana Breit (Wisconsin Rapids, WI/Pacelli) earned All-American honors in the mile run to headline the performances of four members of the UW-Stevens Point women's indoor track and field team at the 2014 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on March 14-15.
Results
Breit posted the ninth-best time in the preliminaries (4:58.57) to advance to the final, where she finished eighth to earn All-American honors. The junior posted a personal-record time of 4:57.84 in the final.
Maggie Martin (Chilton, WI/Chilton) competed in the weight throw and finished higher than her seed, coming in ninth place with a throw of 16.70 meters (54' 9 ½").
The Pointers had two individuals compete in the pole vault,
Samantha Haas (Waupun, WI/Waupun) and
Shannon Burke (Sussex, WI/Hamilton). Haas came in 14th by clearing 3.55 meters (11' 7 ¾"), while Burke was 17th with a height of 3.40 meters (11' 1 ¾").
