STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team finished sixth at its home invite in the final action of the regular season, the 2012 Mad Dawg Invite at the Stevens Point Country Club.

Results

The Pointers fired a 372 on day two to finish sixth overall at the 10-team tournament.

McKenna Prestigiacomo (Madison, WI/LaFollette) led the Pointers on day two and placed third after shooting a second-round 82 (+9).

Elsewhere for the Pointers, Olivia Schiefelbein (Johnston, IA/Johnston) tied for 26th with a second-round 93, Kayla Johnson (Shawano, WI/Shawano) placed 28th with a second-round 91 and Natalie Halverson (Hermantown, MN/Hermantown) finished 49th after shooting a second-round 106.

The Pointers return to action on Oct. 5 with the three-day WIAC Championship at Bulls Eye Country Club in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.
