STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's indoor track and field team finished second out of 13 teams Saturday, tallying 116 points at the Eastbay/Pointer Invitational.
Hannah School (Wittenburg, WI/Wittenburg-Birnamwood) finished third in the 60-meter dash with a time of 8.00 and took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.53.
Kelly Haen (Kaukauna, WI/Kaukauna) won the mile run with a time of 4:58.44, 15 seconds faster than the nearest competitor, while
Kristin Mathes (Kiel, WI/Kiel) placed second in the 800-meter run, clocking in at 2:20.96.
In the 3000-meter run,
Erica Claas (Waukesha, WI/West) finished second, posting a time of 11:20.02 and in the 5000-meter, UWSP took first, second and third as Nicole Hillmen,
Lauren Dilley (Middleton, WI/Middleton) and
Katherine Larson (Milwaukee, WI/West Allis Central) finished in 18:55.64, 19:01.46 and 19.06.39, respectively.
Erin Kline (Casco, WI/Luxemburg-Casco) placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.10 while finishing third in the high jump with a jump of 1.61 meters.
Leanna Rose (Rothschild, WI/D.C. Everest) finished third in the pole vault with a vault of 3.45 meters.
UWSP will be back in action Feb. 24-25 as it competes in the WIAC Indoor Championships in Menomonie.
