WHITEWATER, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point women's track and field team finished fourth at the UW-Whitewater Quad on Friday night, finishing with an overall score of 104.
Erica Claas (Waukesha, WI/West) won the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:47.49 while
Kelsey Laska (Roscoe, IL/Hononegah Community) won the mile run with a time of 5:28.10 and
Alexa Lewin (Appleton, WI/Freedom) placed second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.61.
The UWSP 4x200-meter relay team consisting of
Rika Calvin (Milwaukee, WI/Rufus King),
Alesha Malueg (Appleton, WI/Kimberly),
Hannah School (Wittenburg, WI/Wittenburg-Birnamwood) and
Brianna Weyers (Ashwaubenon, WI/Tomahawk) finished first with a time of 1:50.46 while the 4x400-meter relay team of
Chelsea Czarnecki (Ashland, WI/Ashland),
Nicole Hanson (Clintonville, WI/Clintonville),
Kristin Mathes (Kiel, WI/Kiel) and
Michelle Kuber (Tomahawk, WI/Tomahawk) took second.
UWSP returns home for the Pointer/Eastbay Invitational Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Multi-Activity Center at 10:30 a.m.
