BLOOMINGTON, Ill. – Freshman Mary Welch (Madison) shot an 82 on Sunday afternoon to finished tied for 24^th place to pace the UW-Stevens Point women's golf team to an 11^th place finish at the 2011 Illinois Wesleyan University Spring Fling golf tournament at Ironwood Golf Course. 

The tournament was shortened from a two-day event to just Sunday due to unfavorable conditions Saturday. 

North Central College took home the tournament's top team finish with a 315 (+27). UW-Stevens Point recorded a team total of 338 (+50). 

Danelle Olson (Detroit Lakes, MN) finished tied for 35^th with her 83, Olivia Schiefelbein (Johnson, IA) finished tied for 42^nd with an 85, McKenna Prestigiacomo (Madison) finished tied for 58^th with an 88 and Kayla Johnson (Shawano) finished in 103^rd with a 102. 

The Pointers return to action with the UW-Whitewater Spring Fling tournament in Janesville on Friday, April 22 and then have their final team tournament of the year on April 30-May 1 at UW-Eau Claire.
