JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. – Danelle Olson (Detroit Lakes, MN/Detroit Lakes) fired a three day 247 to pace the UW-Stevens Point women's golf team to a 10^th place finish in their first action of the spring season at the 2011 Jekyll Island Collegiate in Georgia. 

Olson finished tied for 21^st in the field of over 100 golfers. She fired an opening day 84, a day two 79 and finished play with an 84 to card her 247. 

As a team the Pointers shot a 1029 including a team-best 328 on the tournament's final day. 

Elsewhere McKenna Prestigiacom (Madison, WI/LaFollette) finished tied for 30^th with a 251, Mary Welch (Madison, WI/West) finished tied for 41^st with a 256, Olivia Schiefelbein (Johnston, IA/Johnston) finished tied for 80^th with her 277 and Kayla Johnson (Shawano, WI/Shawano) finished tied for 97^th with a 292.
