STEVENS POINT – UW-Stevens Point's McKenna Prestigiacomo (Madison, WI/LaFollette) fired a two-day 162 to finish in a three-way tie for first place with teammate Mary Welch (Madison, WI/West), but came out in front of the 45 player field thanks to a tiebreak in the final regular season tournament at the Stevens Point Country Club. 

As a team, the Pointers finished in third place, 12 stroke behind first place UW-Whitewater, who overcame a four shot deficit after day one to take home the team title. Carroll University finished second with a two-day 678.

Elsewhere for the Pointers, Ashley Schmidt finished tied for 20th with a two day 175, Kayla Johnson (Shawano, WI/Shawano) finished tied for 34th with teammate Olivia Schiefelbein (Johnston, IA/Johnston), as the pair shot a two day 185.  Rochelle Dryeson, playing as an individual, finished tied for 31st at the event with a two day 184.

UW-Stevens Point will head to Wisconsin Rapids and the Bulls Eye Country Club for the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship, October 7-9.  Action on Friday begins at Noon.
