NORMAL, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point women's golf team finished ninth at the 2010 Illinois Wesleyan University Fall Classic on Sunday afternoon, shooting a two day 671 (+95).

NAIA power William Woods University bested the 20 team field and shot 28 strokes better than Division II Turman State and Division III Washington College-St. Louis, who both tied for second.

Individually, Danelle Olson (Detroit Lakes, MN/Detroit Lakes), fresh off an individual medalist honor last weekend, finished tied for 10th, shooting a two day 158 (+14). Mary Welch (Madison, WI/West) finished tied for 34th after shooting a two day 167 (+23).
McKenna Pretigiacomo finished tied for 61st place while Kayla Johnson (Shawano, WI/Shawano) finished tied for 66th and Olivia Schiefelbein (Johnston, IA/Johnston) finished tied for 87th.

The Pointers gear up for their most action-packed weekend of the fall season as they head to UW-Whitewater for a one day event and then head to UW-Platteville for a two-day tournament in Platteville.
