PLATTEVILLE - Senior
Sara Kline (Casco) took home first place in the 55 meter hurdles as the UW-Stevens Point women's track and field team competed at the Platteville Invitational on Saturday.
After placing third in the preliminaries, Kline posted a time of 8.38 seconds to edge out Loras' Barb Kremer for first place. Freshman
Erin Kline (Casco) secured the third place finish with a time of 8.49 seconds. +
In the 4x400 meter relay, the Pointers time of 3:59.96 was good enough for second place, just 1.53 seconds behind first place UW-Platteville.
The Pointers
Kelly Haen (Kaukauna) edged out Jordan Clark-Mand from UW-Oshkosh to place fourth in the one mile run. Her time for the event was 5:08.53.
The only other notable finish the Pointers had was from
Amy Hibbard (Green Bay) in the triple jump. She set a mark of 10.35 meters which tied for fourth place.
No team scores were recorded at the event.
The Pointers will return to action Saturday, February 20th when they will host the Pointer Eastbay Invitational. The start time is to be announced.
