EAU CLAIRE – Jessica Urban (Hartland) fired a two-day 158, just 12 over par, to capture the Blugold Pre D3 Championship Invite individual title on Sunday afternoon. As a team, the Pointers finished the tournament with a team score of 675, 91 over par, good for a second place finish.

The Eau Claire tournament marks the final tune-up for the Pointers, who next head to the NCAA Division III Championships in Port St. Lucie, Fla. May 13-16.

The Pointers, who finished day one of the tournament in first place, were outpaced on the final day by host UW-Eau Claire on day two, as the Blugold finished first in the 11 team field. Central College (Iowa) and UW-Whitewater finished tied for third while Carleton College (Minn.) finished in fifth.

Urban finished day one with a team-best 80 and shot another team-best score of 78 on day two.

Elsewhere for the Pointers, Michelle Pascavis (Waukesha) finished in fifth place, shooting a two-day 167 (+21). Danelle Olson (Detroit Lakes, MN) finished in 11th place with a 174 (+28) and Nacheynah Green (Poynette) finished tied for 18th with a two-day 179 (+33). Amanda Dlugopolski (Appleton) finished tied for 20th, shooting a 180 (+34) over the two-day tournament.
