STEVENS POINT - All 14 players scored, led by Jordan Giordana's (Kaukauna) 14 off the bench, as the fourth-ranked UW-Stevens Point men's basketball team shot a blistering 56.3 percent from the floor for the game on their way to a 105-43 victory over the Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors.

The 62 point win was the third largest margin of victory in Pointer history just behind the 63 point triumph by the Pointers over Northland College in November of 1983. The 105 points was also the most points scored in a contest by UWSP since the 2006-07 season in a 106-61 victory over UW-River Falls.

The largest margin of victory by the Pointers still stands at 65, a 109-44 victory over Mt. Senario in 2001.

The Pointers never trailed as they held the Warriors without a field goal for the games first 6:30, jumping in front 18-2. The Pointer defense dominated the Warriors in the opening stanza, holding Wisconsin Lutheran to just 23.1 percent shooting from the floor.

In the second half the Pointers continued to add to their 25 point lead, as they stayed hot from the floor, shooting 55 percent on their way to the 63 point victory.

All but two of Giordana's team-high 14 points came from beyond the three-point arc, as he finished 4-of-5 from the floor and a perfect 2-for-2 from the free-throw line.

Jared Jenkins (Milwaukee) and Dan Tillema (Randolph) each chipped in 12 points apiece while Jordan Brezinski (Muskego) finished as the fourth Pointer in double figures, adding 10 points in 17 minutes of work. Dan Tillema (Randolph, WI/Randolph/Minnesota-Duluth) and Scott Hoelzel (Kaukauna) each chipped in a team-best seven rebounds.

Sam Siemers and Tim Demuth each added eight for the Warriors in the loss.

The No. 4 Pointers (9-1) return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 29 when they host the nation's second-ranked Tommies of St. Thomas in a rematch of last season's second round NCAA tournament game. Game time is scheduled for 7 p.m. as part of the annual Sentry Classic Basketball tournament.
