Picel’s 4.91 digs per set helped eighth-ranked UW-Stevens Point secure a share of its fourth consecutive WIAC Championship with three conference wins last week. The junior had 26 digs in a five-set comeback victory at No. 25 UW-Whitewater on Wednesday, before tallying 14 digs each in sweeps of UW-River Falls and UW-Platteville. Picel was a key part of UWSP’s defense that held opponents to a .153 hitting percentage for the week. The junior also went over the 500-dig mark for the third consecutive season.
