O'Brien recorded seven points over the weekend, three goals and four assists. On Friday, O'Brien tallied a playmaker, assisting on two goals in the second period and a power-play goal in the third in the 6-3 win over UW-Stout. On Saturday, O'Brien netted a hat trick and an assist in the 7-1 victory over UW-Eau Claire. He scored a goal and an assist in the opening period and two goals in the second period to help the Pointers go 2-0-0 over the weekend and become the first Pointers' team to go unbeaten through the regular season.

Other Nominees: 

Calden Wojt: Wojt won the men’s 200-meter dash at the Midwest Elite Invitational in convincing fashion defeating second place by almost half a second.  His time of 21.94 seconds was just 0.07 off of his indoor personal best.  His time ranks as the second-best time in the conference and third nationally. 

Nate Dodge: Dodge shot .647 (11-17) from the floor over UWSP’s two games last week, including five three-pointers.  He led the Pointers to a season sweep of UW-Whitewater with 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting on Wednesday.  On Saturday, he had a team-high 17 points while shooting 7-for-11 from the field.
