Kelsey Quinnell, a native of Barneveld, Wisconsin, joined UWSP in 2018. She primarily works with the UWSP football, softball and swim and dive teams. She provides medical coverage to UWSP athletes as a part of a team of athletic trainers employed by Marshfield Clinic Health Systems.

Prior to UWSP, Kelsey spent 2 years at Michigan State University as a graduate assistant athletic trainer. She worked primarily with the women’s soccer and field hockey teams. She graduated MSU with a master’s degree in Kinesiology-Athletic Training in 2018. Before MSU, Kelsey spent 1 year as an intern athletic trainer at Catawba College in North Carolina, working with women’s soccer and softball. Kelsey graduated from The University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training. After graduation, Kelsey spent 6 months at The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater as an intern athletic trainer, working with gymnastics and track and field. Kelsey also has experience teaching undergrads and being a clinical preceptor for both undergrad athletic training students and master of athletic training students.

Additionally, Kelsey served as the athletic trainer for the 2018 U19 USA Field Hockey team on their tour to Ireland, 2018 USA Women’s Development Field Hockey Team on their tour to Chile, and the 2019 U17 USA Field Hockey team on their tour to Germany.

Kelsey resides in Marshfield, WI, with her husband Darren, her dog Holly and her two cats Charlie and Maple. Kelsey enjoys running, reading, baking and crafting.
