Cass Salmen has served as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for UW-Stevens Point since August 2019. She is contracted through Marshfield Clinic Health System and works primarily with the women's hockey, baseball, and cross-country teams. 

Cass is a native of Stillwater, MN. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in Athletic Training from UW- Stevens Point in 2015. She went on to earn her Masters of Science Degree in Human Performance from Lindenwood University in 2017. While at Lindenwood, she worked as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer, providing coverage to women’s basketball, field hockey, and softball.  

In 2017-2019, she worked at King University in Bristol, TN as an athletic trainer for women’s soccer and men’s wrestling. 

In 2010-2014, Cass was a four-year member of the UW-Stevens Point women's hockey team. She earned First Team-All American and WIAC Conference Player of the Year accolades for the 2013-2014 season. She also received the Chancellor's Leadership Award in 2014.

Cass is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA), the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association (GLATA), and the Wisconsin Athletic Trainers' Association. She maintains a specialized M1 certification in Graston Technique.
