University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point Athletics

Ben Rockwell enters his eighth year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at UW-Stevens Point in 2020-21.

Before coming to UW-Stevens Point, Ben was at Warner University overseeing the football team and assisting with other teams. Ben completed internships both in the NFL with the Indianapolis Colts and the Minnesota Vikings. Along with his NFL experience he has worked many different levels of football including the Menomonie Thunderhawks, Eau Claire Predators both which are Wisconsin semi-professional teams, and the Toronto Argonauts (in the Canadian Football League) training camp.

Ben also spent time working at Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Cedar in Menomonie, Wisconsin. During his time there he outreached to five high schools and assisted at UW-Stout where he provided coverage for the women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, and the baseball team.

Ben received his Masters of Science degree in Athletic Training from Ohio University and received his Bachelors of Science degree in Athletic Training from Winona State University.

Rockwell, a native of Eau Claire, now lives in Stevens Point with his wife, Ruth, and their daughter, Aurora.
