CHICAGO, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (2-1-0) suffered its first loss of the season by a 7-0 final at Illinois Tech (2-1-0) on Saturday.
In the 20th minute of play,
Connor Urban (Waukesha, Wis./West) hit the post as the match remained scoreless.
IIT scored in the 28th, 30th and 39th minutes to put UWSP in a 3-0 hole at the half.
The Scarlet Hawks scored four times in the second half to complete the win.
Jaxon Buckley (Kingsford, Mich./Kingsford) had three of UWSP's seven shots on net.
Garrett Latus (Plymouth, Minn./Wayzata) and
Aissen Witter (Rothschild, Wis./D.C. Everest) both made their collegiate debuts in goal.
The Pointers return home to take on St. Norbert on Wednesday (Sept. 9) at 7:30 p.m.
