ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point volleyball team (4-3) won its fourth-straight match and its 12th-consecutive set with a three-set sweep of Illinois College (2-3) to cap a season-opening seven-match road trip.
Sadie Grabarski (Waunakee, Wis./Waunakee Community) led UWSP with six kills and she had a match-high five blocks.
Megan Buri (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Durham Hall) had eight assists to lead UWSP.
Tessa Erlandson (Kenyon, Minn./Kenyon Wanamingo) had six digs to top UWSP.
Lauren Shaw (Gurnee, Ill./Warren Township) had her second kill in an 9-0 run as UWSP went up, 16-6. Isabelle Digman had an ace as UWSP took set one, 25-13.

Isabelle Axelson (Eureka, Ill./Eureka) combined on a pair of blocks for a 13-4 advantage in the second set.
Grace Jermak (Downers Grove, Ill./Benet Academy) recorded her first collegiate kill. Axelson and Grabarski combined for four kills and another kill as the Pointers took the second set, 25-21.
Delilah Hyland (Glen Ellyn, Ill./IC Catholic Prep) and Shaw combined on a block in an 8-1 run to go ahead, 14-8.
Danica Lenz (Andover, Minn./Andover) had three kills down the stretch as the Pointers finished the sweep with a 25-18 win.
UWSP will play its home opener on Wednesday (Sept. 16) at 7:00 p.m. against Concordia (Wis.). Fans are encouraged to wear green in support of the Mental Health Awareness initiative at the match.
