WAUKESHA, Wis. – UW-Stevens Point women's soccer goalkeeper
Jocelyn Blahnik (De Pere, Wis./De Pere) extended her season-opening shutout streak to 225 minutes as the Pointers (2-1-1) played Carroll (0-1-3) to a 0-0 draw.
Christa Borchardt (New Berlin, Wis./West) had the first shot of the match that tested the CU goalkeeper. Blahnik needed just one stop in the first half to keep the match scoreless.
The Pioneers hit the crossbar in the 58th minute, the closest either team came to breaking the 0-0 score. Borchardt had UWSP's only shot on goal in the second half as well.
Blahnik made three saves to keep the clean sheet for UWSP, the third shutout of the year for the Pointers.
The Pointers head west to face Whitman on Friday (Sept. 11) at 7:00 p.m. PT.
