STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The UW-Stevens Point men's soccer team (2-2-0) narrowly missed completing a comeback in a 2-1 loss to visiting St. Norbert (2-1-1) on Wednesday.
The visiting Green Knights broke a scoreless tie with just 31 seconds remaining in the first half.
In the 57th minute, SNC doubled its advantage to 2-0.
Connor Urban (Waukesha, Wis./West) ripped a free kick off the post in the 60th minute, nearly halving the SNC lead. In the 66th minute, Urban converted a PK to get UWSP within 2-1.
Blayton Will (Appleton, Wis./West) played all 90 minutes in net for UWSP making six saves. SNC goalkeeper Jackson Kiszka had three saves.
The Pointers host Augustana on Saturday (Sept. 12) at 3:30 p.m. at the UWSP Turf Facility.
