STEVENS POINT, Wis. — The UW-Stevens Point women's lacrosse team (7-6, 1-4) fell to Colorado College (11-3, 6-0), by a 22-1, final, on Saturday.
The first quarter began with the Pointers making an early impact, as
Ali Senart (Muskego, Wis./Muskego) scored the opening goal at 13:41, giving the Pointers an initial lead. By the end of the first quarter, Colorado College had established a 7-1 lead over UWSP. The Tigers' offense controlled the remainder of the game, despite efforts from the Pointers' defense.
Senart led the Pointers with one goal, converting two shots, both of which were on target.
Rowan Dunn (Janesville, Wis./Joseph A. Craig) contributed to the offensive effort with two shots, one of which was on goal.
Ava Muller (Oconomowoc, Wis./Oconomowoc) also contributed a shot on goal, adding pressure to the opposing defense.
Emily Griege (Chesterfield, Mo./Westminster Christian Academy), was in goal, faced 37 shots and made five saves.
The Pointers will back home to face UW-River Falls on Wednesday (Apr. 22) beginning at 5:00 p.m.
