ROCK ISLAND, Ill. – The UW-Stevens Point women's wrestling team is in third place and have three wrestlers through to the semifinal round at the QC D3 National Invitational.
Results
Alexis Winecke (Baraboo, Wis./Baraboo) went 3-0 in the 103 bracket to move on to Sunday's semifinal round. She got two wins by fall and one by decision.
Brooke Schuenemann (Plymouth, Wis./Plymouth Comprehensive) also was 3-0 on the day in the 145 bracket. She won twice by tech fall and once by fall to reach the semifinals.
Lana Zimmerman (Cortland, Ill./Dekalb) got a win by decision and another by fall in the consolation bracket.
Kara Kuge (Theresa, Wis./Lomira) is through to the semifinals of the 180 bracket with two wins by tech fall and one by fall.
Margaret Gillmore (Bristol, Wis./Westosha Central) got two wins by tech fall in the 117 bracket.
Hollis Nelson (Milwaukee, Wis./Whitefish Bay) got a win by tech fall in the consolation bracket.
Amelia Adams (La Crosse, Wis./Logan) got two wins in the 124 bracket, one by fall and one by tech fall.
Rosemary Triggs (Whitefish Bay, Wis./Whitefish Bay) got a win by fall in the consolation bracket.
Elsie Triplett (Annandale, Minn./Annandale) got two wins by fall in the 131 bracket.
Cera Philson (Thorp, Wis./Thorp) got one win by fall.
Amerrah Kayon (Kenosha, Wis./Shoreland) won twice by fall in the 160 bracket.
Cadie Percy (Windsor, Colo./Windsor) won twice in the 138 bracket, once each by decision and tech fall. Margaret Zuber got a win by tech fall int eh consolation bracket.
Briana Martinez (South St. Paul, Minn./South St. Paul) got a win by decision in the consolation bracket at 110.
